School Update

“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 3:17–18

We are well into the final stretch of the school year—can you believe there are only four weeks left? This is an important time for students to remain diligent in completing assignments and preparing for final tests. There will be very little wiggle room, so we encourage you to stay connected with what your student is working on in class and help guide them to a strong finish.

Here are a few important events and reminders for the weeks ahead:

IOWA TESTING – May 4–7 IOWA Tests will be administered during this week. These assessments provide valuable insight into your child’s academic achievement in core subjects. Please help your student prepare by ensuring they get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast each morning. This greatly supports focus and overall performance.

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER – May 7 National Day of Prayer is observed annually on the first Thursday in May. It is a special time to reflect, pray, and come together in unity. This is a meaningful opportunity to celebrate our unity in Jesus Christ and our freedom to pray openly.

We invite you, as you drop off your students that morning, to stay and join us for a brief time of prayer around the flagpole as we begin our day together.

PASTRIES WITH PARENTS – May 12 You are warmly invited to join your student(s) for Pastries with Parents as we take time to honor and appreciate you. Parenthood is one of the most important callings from God Himself, and we are grateful for the love, dedication, and sacrifice you pour into your children each day.

This special time will be held in the lunchroom from 7:15–8:00 a.m. A reminder flyer will be coming home soon.

CALL TO PRAYER As many of you know, we have been in the process of preparing for a campus move this summer. While leases have been signed, permits have been submitted, committees have been formed and plans are in motion, we are currently waiting for final clearance from the State Fire Marshal and NV Energy before proceeding.

This has been a long journey, and we are trusting in God’s perfect timing. We ask that you join us in prayer—that our will aligns with His, that He reveals His plan clearly, and that we honor Him in every step of this process.

As always, thank you for your continued support, partnership, and commitment to your child’s education and our school community. All glory and honor to God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessings, Mrs. Mitchell
