CONGRATULATIONS! We are so proud of your accomplishments and blessed that you are a part of Logos Christian Academy
I’m sure the earthquake last week was an eye-opener for all of us, but I was extremely proud of our staff and students. They reacted exactly as outlined in our Earthquake Drill procedures and we have found no damages to our structures that I am aware of. Thank you Lord for your protection. When the earth shakes beneath us, we tend to realize the power of our God and it is good to know He is still in control no matter what.
Advent Night was a real success and a lot of fun for all, even though we had quite a few folks absent due to illness. Those that were able to attend had some memorable family time creating an Advent candelabra from a beautiful wooden base created by Mr. Shawn Mitchell and enjoying hot chocolate and lots of cookies. We also enjoyed the Christmas carols by the students accompanied by Mrs. Heath. Thanks to Mrs. Mitchell for hosting this event and explaining the meaning of the Advent candles.
Mondays Chapel was a lot of fun with Mrs. Broughton’s and Mrs. Lyle’s K4/K class singing “God Gave Me Jesus”. It was a really fun (and active😊) way, along with our Sword Drill scriptures, to remember what this season is really all about. JESUS!
The staff was honored with a Staff Dinner and a movie ("The Greatest Christmas Pageant Ever”) on Thursday night. We would like to express our appreciation to the LCA Board and to UPLIFT. It was a good time of fellowship for the staff and their families along with Board members and their families.
This week will be another busy one (Tis the Season 😊) with Christmas Caroling around town by the students on Wednesday and Angel Breakfast on Thursday morning.
Our Science Fair will be coming up on February 4th. We are looking for judges that are not related to the students. If you know of anyone that might be available, please call the office (775-428-1825) or email office@logosfallon.org with ideas.
Since this is likely our last Update before Christmas, I pray that this will be a wonderful time for your family to share in the love this season always brings and to remember the greatest gift we could ever imagine in that Jesus chose to leave heaven, be born as a baby, live a sinless life and be crucified to provide us a way of salvation to restore our relationship with our perfect Creator. And let’s not forget, He rose again to give us the hope of eternal life in His presence.
May God continue to bless you and yours. We are so blessed to be a part of His work with your children at Logos Christian Academy.
