Mrs. Pam Duarte – Headmaster

Mrs. Duarte has been in the field of education for over 25 years in a variety of roles (school secretary, specialized aide, classroom teacher, trainer of new teachers, assistant principal, and principal). In addition, she and her husband, Paul, have served in a variety of ministry roles over the past 44 years. They moved to Fallon in February 2017, leaving the South Bay area of Northern California where they had lived for 30 years. They have 2 sons, 2 lovely daughter-in-laws, and 3 grandchildren. She believes that God has amazing things in store for Logos Christian Academy and loves working with staff and families to provide the very best in a Classical Christian Education.

Mrs. Brandie Dixon (Mrs. Brandie), Pre-K Teacher/Director

Mrs. Jessica Cota, 3 Year Old Preschool Teacher

Mrs. Cota joins our staff as the teacher of our new 3 year old Preschool Class – the Lion Cubs! She is venturing into a new career after having successfully served in the medical field for many years. The loving wife and mother of 3 beautiful children, Mrs. Cota was born and raised in Southern California. Her family now enjoys being a part of the Fallon community for many reasons. She is working on her units for Early Childhood Education certification and has a natural tendency for teaching little ones! “I feel students need to learn, explore, discover, and be active participants in their learning journey, which involves our whole body!“

Ms. Emma Rosario, PK Instructional Aide

Ms. Emma Rosario is a native of Fallon and a graduate of Oasis Academy High School. She has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education for the past 3 years and is currently attending Great Basin College online to work toward her AA in Early Childhood Education. She is a wonderful addition and support to our preschool program!

Mrs. Jung was born and raised in Montana. She went to college in Idaho, and holds a B.S. in Secondary Education (Business Ed Specialty) from Northwest Nazarene College. She has lived in Fallon for 38 years. Mrs. Jung met and Married Dale Jung and they have five children:
Adrienne (Married to Hector with 3 grand babies), Kendra, Caleb, Haley, and Shayna
She has taught at Logos since our doors opened 20 years ago. “I love teaching from a Christian worldview.”

Mrs. Joelle MacKay, 1st Grade

Mrs. MacKay is originally from Fallon and moved back in 2019 with her husband and 3 children. She has a vast knowledge from her work experience with children. For the past several years she has taught enrichment classes, organized youth day and summer camps, and worked with the Washoe School District for the last year. She is continuing her education in to complete her BA in Elementary Education, with the goal of a Masters in Educational Leadership. She and her family enjoy the outdoors, roping, riding horses, and managing their cattle.

Ms. Kim Rechel, 2nd Grade

Mrs. Rechel joins us full-time after serving part time in the first grade classroom during the 2020-2021 school year. Born and raised in Southern California, she lived in one of her favorite states, Alaska, before settling in Nevada where she and her husband have raised four children. She has been ranching and farming since moving to Nevada. Gathering cattle, jumping sagebrush, and circling runaway herds was quite a change from Administration at the CDC in Greely, Alaska. She enjoys her 3 grandchildren, as well as entertaining, competitive shooting, hunting, gardening, riding dirt bikes and learning. She taught the Junior Youth Club with Child Evangelism Fellowship and home schooled her 3 boys for much of their education. She is excited to join the Logos staff to teach full time and looks forward to preparing minds to know the wonder of God!

Mrs. Tiffany Mora, 3rd/4th Grade

Mrs. Mora was born and raised in Aztec, New Mexico, where she lived for 21 years before joining the US Navy. She has been married to her husband, Rhett, for 15 years and they have a 10 year old son, Asher. She loves to spend time with her family and watch Asher master new challenges. When she has some alone time, reading and crocheting are what keep her content. She is currently finishing up her B.A. in Writing and English, with a focus in Fictional Writing. Prior to joining the Logos staff in 2018, she worked in substitute positions for Churchill County Schools for 2 years and has been active in church since she became a believer many years ago at VBS. She has taught many different age groups and really does enjoy working with children and helping them reach their personal best.

Mrs. Chancy Parsons, 5th/6th

Mrs. Parsons has always had a passion for teaching and working with kids. In addition to working with children in a variety of positions, before coming to Logos she worked for Lyon County Schools as a para-educator with children with special needs. She and her husband, Wayne (owner of Parsons Drilling, Inc.) reside in Fallon, where Chancy has lived most of her life. She loves crafting, exploring quads around Northern Nevada, golf, music, painting, traveling, and taking her dogs on rides in the desert. She adores her nieces and nephews and has a growing relationship with Jesus her Savior. She is known for love for kids, being a hard worker, and her big heart!

Mrs. Dayna Mitchell, 7th/8th

Mrs. Mitchell was born and raised mostly in California. She met and married her husband Shawn and they have three pretty amazing boys. She has lived in Fallon for over 16 years. “I have really learned to love living here. I say ‘learned’ because I did not love it at first, it was quite a culture shock. I love the people, the small town community, and the fact that my family is surrounded by people who love the Lord and demonstrate the love of Jesus in their lives.” She faithfully served as the Logos Administrative Assistant for 6 years and now dedicates herself to her students.

Mrs. Alyssa Sowersby, Office Administrator
Mrs. Sowersby joined us in the fall of 2020 and has successfully tackled every new learning experience thrown her way! Her management skills and ability to multi-task in a very busy environment have been a gift. Her work experience includes the medical field as a phlebotomist, a Tasting Room Server, self-employed florist, and catering. She and her husband have 3 children – all Logos students – and keep busy with their many activities! They moved to Fallon in the summer of 2020 and have quickly made both the Fallon and Logos communities their home. “We have seen God’s hand in every single detail of our move, beginning with the blessing that Logos has been for our children. Their growth through this has been tremendous, and we know God’s plan of attending Logos is the reason for that.”
