Mrs. Pam Duarte – Headmaster

Mrs. Duarte has been in the field of education for over 25 years in a variety of roles (school secretary, specialized aide, classroom teacher, trainer of new teachers, assistant principal, and principal). In addition, she and her husband, Paul, have served in a variety of ministry roles over the past 41 years. They moved to Fallon in February 2017, leaving the South Bay area of Northern California where they had lived for 30 years. They have 2 sons, 2 lovely daughter-in-laws, and 3 grandchildren. She is hopeful that God has amazing things in store for Logos Christian Academy and loves working with staff and families to provide the very best in a Classical Christian Education.

Mrs. Brandie Dixon (Mrs. Brandie), Pre-K Teacher/Director

Mrs. Kim Jung, Kindergarten/1st Grade

Mrs. Jung was born and raised in Montana. She went to college in Idaho, and holds a B.S. in Secondary Education (Business Ed Specialty) from Northwest Nazarene College. She has lived in Fallon for 38 years. Mrs. Jung met and Married Dale Jung and they have five children:
Adrienne (Married to Hector with 3 grand babies), Kendra, Caleb, Haley, and Shayna
She has taught at Logos since our doors opened 20 years ago. “I love teaching from a Christian worldview.”

Mrs. Joelle MacKay, 1st Grade

Mrs. MacKay is originally from Fallon and moved back in 2019 with her husband and 3 children. She has a vast knowledge from her work experience with children. For the past several years she has taught enrichment classes, organized youth day and summer camps, and worked with the Washoe School District for the last year. She will be continuing her education in the fall to complete her BA in Elementary Education, hopefully followed by her Masters in Educational Leadership. She and her family enjoy the outdoors, roping, riding horses, and managing their cattle.

Ms. Kristi Olivo, 2nd Grade

Ms. Olivo moved to Fallon from San Diego in 1994, where she attended and graduated from Churchill Count High School. She is currently attending Grand Canyon University, completing classes for her B.A. in Elementary Education. She has a diverse background of working with children, including in church through youth groups and nursery care, working with students with special needs and disabilities, as well as being a substitute teacher with the Churchill County School District. Additionally, she serves as Secretary for the Fallon High Desert Grange, where she has led youth programs as Livestock Judging and the Sheep Club. Her son, Jayden, has attended Logos since Kindergarten and together they enjoy most any activity outdoors, spending time with family and friends, coffee shops, raising sheep, riding horses, and road trips.

Mrs. Tiffany Mora 3rd/4th Grade

Mrs. Mora was born and raised in Aztec, New Mexico, where she lived for 21 years before joining the US Navy. She has been married to her husband, Rhett, for 14 years and they have a 9 year old son, Asher. She loves to spend time with her family and watch Asher master new challenges. When she has some alone time, reading and crocheting are what keep her content. She is currently finishing up her B.A. in Writing and English, with a focus in Fictional Writing. Prior to joining the Logos staff last year, she worked in substitute positions for Churchill County Schools for 2 years and has been active in church since she became a believer many years ago at VBS. She has taught many different age groups and really does enjoy working with children and helping them reach their personal best.

Mrs. Heather Gilman, 5th/6th and 7th/8th – Humanities, Electives

Mrs. Gilman comes to us with several years of studying and implementing the Classical Education model. She taught the Classical model when she home schooled her 2 daughters, who attend Logos, while living in Dubai for 3 years. Mrs. Gilman was a co-leader of our parent group, UPLIFT, last year and volunteered in many areas on campus. She also leads the shooting sport for 4-H. She and her husband, Greg, have been married for 18 years. They enjoy traveling the world, movies (and quoting said movies), playing Nintendo, and participating in Hot August Nights. Mrs. Gilman is excited to be joining our team this year and looks forward to make history come alive to her students.

Mrs. Dayna Mitchell, 5th/6th and 7th/8th – Math, Science, Bible, Logic

Mrs. Mitchell was born and raised mostly in California. She met and married her husband Shawn and they have three pretty amazing boys. She has lived in Fallon for over 15 years. “I have really learned to love living here. I say ‘learned’ because I did not love it at first, it was quite a culture shock. I love the people, the small town community, and the fact that my family is surrounded by people who love the Lord and demonstrate the love of Jesus in their lives.” She faithfully served as the Logos Administrative Assistant for 6 years and now dedicates herself to her students.

Ms. Emma Rosario is a native of Fallon and a graduate of Oasis Academy High School. She has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education for the past 2 years and plans to attend Great Basin College online to work toward her AA in Early Childhood Education. She is very excited to be a part of the Logos PreK Team!
