Logos Christian Academy Update
“A Classical and Christ-Centered Education”
November 9, 2018
Jesus said unto him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment.” (Matthew 22:37,38)
Thoughts from the Headmaster
Special thanks to all of those who joined us last Friday for a very special Grandparents’ Day at Parkside Bible Fellowship and Logos! Our students did an amazing job of presenting songs, skits, and poems in appreciation for grandparents. Additionally, we were privileged to honor our veterans and military serving in the various branches of service. Fun was had by all upon the return trip to Logos as grandparents were playing games, taking spelling tests, and remembering trivia with their grandchildren in the various classrooms.
Please take a few moments to look at the red flyer coming home today about our Christmas Gift of Giving Projects and consider how your family might be able to participate. Teaching our students that there is a world of need beyond our walls is a very important life skill and one that honors the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave His all for each one of us.
Additionally, be watching for a very special invitation that will come home mid-week next week with information about our annual Advent Night – a family celebration of the Christmas season. The RSVP will need to be returned immediately with a deadline of Friday, November 16th. (No late RSVP’s will be accepted.) Save the date of December 4th from 6-7:30 pm!
As we enter this season of Thanksgiving, I count being a part of this special place of education a true blessing! I am in awe everyday of God’s provision for our school and all that our parents and staff do to create a nurturing learning environment for our students.
Blessings,
Pam Duarte

Mascot Art Contest… Logos now has a mascot – a lion! Students are invited to draw their vision of what our mascot should look like and have a chance to get their drawing in the yearbook. Submissions must be in color on 8 ½ x 11 inch paper by November 27th.
Auction Dinner Planning! If you were not able to attend the planning meeting on Wednesday night, but want to help out, we still need you! Look for the sign up sheet in your child’s folder or contact Shelby Dooley, this year’s chairperson at rcooper@coloradotbc.com. We will need help with decorations, food preparation, auction item procurement, set up/clean up, to name a few.
Get to Know Our Amazing Teachers and Staff! We want to let everyone know that UPLIFT has surveyed our wonderful teachers and staff and have put a binder together of their favorite things. This PINK binder will be in the front office if anyone is interested in seeing your teacher’s favorite restaurant, flower, nail salon, hobby or even how you could help out in the classroom. Check it out. This is a fun way to get to know our teachers and staff.
