Thoughts from the Headmaster
Logos Christian Academy depends on the support of the greater community and we are grateful for the many ways our supporters donate through the Biennial Auction Dinner. It’s almost time for this year’s big event “A Night Under the Big Top”! This special occasion will take place on Saturday, March 23rd, at the Fallon Convention Center. Doors will open at 6:00 pm with opportunity to bid on a variety of Silent Auction items, followed by a delicious dinner at 7 p.m. and an exciting Live Auction. Cost is $25 per person or $300 for a table. We hope that you will be able to join us for this special evening – please return your RSVP to the school office or by mail. Additionally, your classroom teacher(s) may be requesting a donation to help put together a special themed basket of goodies to be auctioned off that evening. Special thanks to Shelby Cooper, this year’s Auction Dinner Chairperson, and all those who are hard at work to make this evening memorable!
Thank you to all those who have returned the Parent Surveys. Next week we will include data from the surveys in the LCA Update, as well as what we are doing in response to some of the suggestions.
Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming March 20th. This will be a ½ day for students with conferences in the afternoon. It will signal the end of 3rd quarter and report cards will be available at the conferences. We will be sending out an e-mail through Sign Up Genius for sign-ups for conference times – families with multiple students will receive it on March 4th and all others on March 5th.
As we plan for next school year, we greatly appreciate you returning your “Intent to Return” forms by March 15th. The tuition payment choice sheet, along with the $150 deposit/curriculum fee, are due by May 3rd.
We are Now on Amazon Smile
When you order from Amazon, Logos now has an opportunity to make a small percentage off of certain products you may purchase. When you want to make a purchase on Amazon go to smile.amazon.com and when it asks which organization you want to support, click on Solo Gratia, Inc. (the incorporated name for Logos Christian Academy). Amazon will then donate a portion of the purchase price to our school.
Good News Club Starts Monday
Good News Club After School Program (K-5) will start on Monday, February 25th. It will be held weekly on Mondays from 2:50-4:20 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for students learn more about God’s Word and experience engaging activities. Parents will need to complete and return the registration form to school for your child to attend. They may start at any time. They are also in need of adult volunteers. If you are interested, follow the guidelines coming home. If you need another registration form, stop by the school office. If you already signed your child up, let them know that they need to go straight to the classroom next to the school library as soon as school is out. Please pick up promptly at 4:20 pm.
Local Rau Bee Honey Fundraiser
Thank you to those who have purchased Rau Bee Honey, as a way to help support our school. To date, we have earned almost $200, which will help with upgrading and maintaining our facilities. You can still purchase or invite others to do so. Order forms are available in the school office.
Logos Teaching Positions Open for Next Year
With the addition of our new Pre-K class and restructuring of some of our combination classes, we will be adding 2 new teaching positions for next year. If you or someone you know are interested in applying, please pick up an application packet in the school office. Questions? Contact email@example.com
Registration of New Students for 2019-20
Registration for K-8 for students new to Logos is now open! Interested families can pick up a packet in the school office or register on-line. Pre-K registration will start on 3/18. Let your friends know that they can pick up a registration packet or register online.
