Logos Christian Academy Update
“A Classical and Christ-Centered Education”
February 1, 2019
“I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:14
Thoughts from the Headmaster
Please take a few minutes to respond to the Parent Survey that is coming home today. There are about 16 questions, most of which are multiple choice, with an opportunity to include comments, if you wish. Your responses will help us to know what we are doing well and where we need to improve. Including your name is optional. Please return completed surveys to school in the attached envelope by February 15th. Thank you for your participation.
Letters of Intent will be sent home next week. This will outline our tuition schedule for the 2019-2020 school year and ask you to let us know your intentions for your child’s attendance at Logos next year. This enables us to plan accordingly for staffing, as well as curriculum.
Congratulations to all our students who were honored at our Awards Chapel today for Spelling Bee, Math Olympics, Honor Roll A (1st and 2nd quarter) and Honor Roll AB (1st and 2nd quarter). Over half our students received awards in at least one area. We were also reminded that while we recognize the hard work and effort that the students have put into their studies, ultimately we want to give God the glory and praise. “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” I Corinthians 10:31.
Blessings,
Pam Duarte
School Updates

If you know someone interested in attending Logos next year, please pass along the news that applications for K-8th grade will open on February 15th. Application packets will be available in the school office or on-line at our website logosfallon.org.
Additionally, our new Pre-K program for 4 year olds will be open for application in mid-March – specific date to be determined. The program will be a full day class (8:10-2:50) with an academic focus in the morning and play based learning in the afternoon. Students need to be 4 years old by September 1, 2019. Priority will be given to Logos families with the remaining spots based on first come first served this year. We will then start a waiting list for the following school year. There will be 10 spots available for 2019-20.
All applicants, Pre-K through 8th, will be scheduled for entrance assessments to determine appropriateness of placement and a family interview.
