Thoughts from the Headmaster
The amazing “Let’s Taco-bout a Great Future” Fiesta Auction dinner is just one week away! We hope you have RSVP’d and purchased your dinner tickets for an evening of fun, fellowship, fabulous food, and the opportunity to purchase some amazing auction items! The dinner will begin at 5:00 pm at Oasis Community Church. If you haven’t purchased tickets yet, please call Mrs. Sowersby at 775-428-1825 or stop by the office today. If you are unable to attend and are interested in bidding on auction items by proxy, please let Mrs. Sowersby know and be watching for further information next week.
Auction items include things like a Traeger Barbeque, Ruger 10-22 Gun, Laptop Tech Basket, Wild Boar Hunt, Cowboys’ Rest Family Camp package, an Ashley Furniture TV console, fabulous class baskets like “Family Game Night”, “Summer Lovin’”, “Disney”, and “Battle Born”. There will also be car maintenance packages, tractor work, get away’s, beauty pampering baskets, and restaurant gift certificates. I look forward to seeing you there! Your support of our school is greatly appreciated!
Blessings,
Pam Duarte
School Update
Help Needed, Please!
We are in the process of cleaning out our storage areas and renovating our storage shed into our new library, in order to make room for our new 3 year old class. We need help in the following areas:
- Move items to a storage building on Maine Street.
- Take items to the dump.
- Wash down inside of storage shed, remove shelving, and paint.
- Install carpet.
If you are able to help with any of these items in the next few weeks, please contact Mrs. Duarte to schedule. We sincerely appreciate it!!
Tuition Preference Forms Due Soon!
If you haven’t returned your Tuition Preference Form and/or $150 curriculum fee deposit for the 2021-2022 school year, please be sure to turn them in no later than May 14th. Your child’s enrollment is not final until that has been received. Thank you for your kind attention to this important matter.
Uniforms Galore!
Due to a lack of storage space, we really need to get rid of most of our stock of used Logos uniforms! We will leave them out and available on the front porch through Tuesday of next week. Now is the time to save some money and plan for the next school year. Please stop by and take a look! If you aren’t able to come, give us a call and let us know what size(s) you are looking for and we will hold some out for you.
Uniform Policy
Please ensure that your child is following uniform policy. We have noticed that not all students are following guidelines, especially in these areas: Boys socks are to be solid black or navy blue and girls may wear socks or tights in solid navy or white (only navy with pants). Should be socks or tights only for girls – no jeggings, leggings, or footless tights. Clothing and shoes are to have no emblems, frills, embellishments or marks. If your child has holes in their pants or stains on their shirts, please check our extra supply for replacement. Thank you!
Volunteer Appreciation Chapel
Save the date! May 14th at 8:15 we will have a special chapel with refreshments and presentations to honor all of our hardworking volunteers from this year. That includes everything from working on the Dinner Auction, yard duty, cleaning bathrooms, maintenance repair, gate duty, classroom support, UPLIFT, teaching PE, doing after school classes, and so much more!
Student Awards/ 8th Grade Graduation…. May 27
Our end of year Awards Chapel has been moved to Thursday, May 27 at 8:15 am. This will be combined with our 8th grade graduation. We invite all parents to join us that day and will be sending out more information in the near future.
Job Opportunity at Logos
We are still looking for a teacher for our 5th-8th Humanities position for the 2021-2022 school year. Please refer anyone who may be interested to Mrs. Duarte at pduarte@logosfallon.org for further information.
